Read on and let accessible beauty inspire you!
In this blog we are going to give you one skincare routine to do in the morning and one to do in the evening before you go to sleep. Of course, it is better to wash your face both in the morning and in the evening, but it is also sufficient to wash your face only in the evening, as you do not accumulate as many bacteria while you sleep as you do during the day.
It is important to realise that you cannot overdo the amount of products at first, so you should start with a few products and add more advanced ones later. Otherwise, you risk making your skin worse by drying it out or increasing acne. Well, with those premises, I would say we can start with our skincare!
Morning Skincare
These are the products we are going to use in our Morning Routine:
- Facial Cleanser
- Facial Exfoliant
- Moisturising Cream/moisturising Lotion
- Sunscreen
Step 1: Facial Cleanser
Facial cleansing is essential for effective skin care, removing impurities, make-up and pollution that have built up on the skin. The right facial cleanser is essential to prevent skin problems such as acne and blackheads, and to maintain healthy skin. Cleansing also optimises the absorption of subsequent products. To use a facial cleanser correctly, start by wetting your face, apply the cleanser in a circular motion, rinse thoroughly and dry gently with a clean towel. it is very important that the towel is clean as we cannot contaminate our face with bacteria at this stage. These steps ensure fresh, clean skin that is ready to take full advantage of your skincare routine.
Tip: take a cleanser that works for your skin. If you have oily skin we recommend CeraVe’s Foaming Facial Cleanser, while if you have drier skin the Hydrating Facial Cleanser from CeraVe is for you. If you have neither oily nor dry skin then CeraVe’s Hydrating Cream-to-Foam Cleanser is perfect.
Step 2: Facial Exfoliant
Regular use of a Facial Exfoliant is an important step in maintaining glowing, healthy skin. Exfoliants are designed to remove dead cells from the surface of the skin, promoting cell renewal and improving skin texture. This practice not only gives the skin a more radiant appearance, but also helps to prevent the formation of blackheads and pimples by reducing dullness and roughness. Exfoliation also facilitates the absorption of active ingredients in subsequent skincare products. To use a facial scrub correctly, apply a small amount to moistened skin, massage gently in circular motions, avoiding the eye area, then rinse thoroughly. Recommended frequency: once or twice a week. Excessive use can cause irritation, so it is important to adapt the frequency to your skin’s needs. Incorporate exfoliation into your routine to reveal brighter, smoother skin.
Tip: It is best to only use the exfoliator twice a week in the morning. The product itself is very strong and is not recommended for those with very dry skin. Overuse of this product will result in dry skin.
Step 3: Moisturising Cream/moisturising Lotion
The use of a facial moisturiser is essential to keep the skin well hydrated and healthy. A moisturiser helps prevent skin dryness, reduces roughness and provides optimal hydration, which is essential for maintaining skin flexibility and elasticity over time. Applying a moisturiser after cleansing and exfoliating provides a protective seal that retains moisture and creates a barrier against harmful atmospheric agents.
To use a moisturiser correctly, apply a sufficient amount to dry skin after cleansing and distribute evenly. Gently massage the cream into the skin until it is completely absorbed.
The main difference between a moisturiser and a moisturising lotion is the consistency and density of the product. Moisturisers are generally thicker and richer, ideal for dry skin or colder climates, while lotions are lighter and suitable for normal or combination skin and warmer climates. The choice between cream and lotion depends on the specific needs of your skin and environmental conditions. Choose a moisturiser if you need intensive hydration, while a lotion is perfect for lighter, daily hydration. Tailoring the product to your needs will help keep your skin balanced and healthy. You can use it morning and night as part of your skincare routine.

Tip: it is preferable to use Moisturising Cream in winter and Moisturising Lotion in summer.
Step 4: Sunscreen
The use of Facial Sunscreen is essential to prevent UV damage and reduce the risk of sunburn, premature ageing and skin cancer. This protective barrier against UVA and UVB rays keeps the skin healthy and prevents the appearance of dark spots and wrinkles. Apply generously 15-30 minutes before sun exposure, covering all exposed areas, and reapply every two hours or more often if you perspire or come into contact with water. Consistent use of sunscreen is an investment in maintaining healthy, youthful skin for the long term.
Tip: It is recommended that you use a Sunscreen with SPF +30 to ensure its effectiveness. Use sunscreen even when the sun is cloudy.
Night Skincare
These are the products we are going to use in our Night Skincare Routine:
- Make-up Remover/Facial Cleanser
- Moisturizing Cream/Moisturizing Lotion
Step 1: Make up Removal/Facial Cleanser
Clean your face with a Facial Cleanser or make-up remover. The procedure is the same as in Step 1 of the Morning skincare routine.
Step 2: Moisturizing Cream/Moisturizing Lotion
As in Step 3 of the Morning Skincare Routine, a moisturising face cream must be put on.
Final Considerations
This is a beginner’s skincare routine, but one that will give you sure results. To have perfect skin, you don’t need to spend a lot of money on lots of expensive products. A few good products are the perfect way to start. Of course, you have to remember that skincare alone will not change your skin, and other factors that affect your skin are sleep, which should be more than 8 hours a night, and a clean diet.
Your work speaks for itself. Keep it up! ❤️
